OUR HISTORY
- Our story as a church began in the late nineties when Southern Hills Baptist gifted the newly named Cornerstone Church the building we currently meet in.
- We have been loving and serving the city of Boulder out of this building on a dead end street in South Boulder ever since.
- Our founding pastor Gene Binder infused the values of worship, confluence, community and healing into the fabric of our church from the beginning.
- Pastor Brian Carlucci who has been on staff for nearly two decades became our lead pastor in 2017.
- In one of the most unchurched cities in the US, we believe our longevity and the roots we’ve planted as a church in this great city is really special.
OUR PEOPLE
- We have amazing people that reflect the great diversity of thought that we find in Boulder.
- We value the youngest to the oldest voices in our community and have a great representation from all the generations.
- You’ll find business owners, and entrepreneurs, professors and students in our church family.
- The great majority of our people love the outdoors and the amazing playground the Lord has provided for us in this amazing city.
- Our mission bends to the most vulnerable in our city and around the world.
- Our church has an amazing population of adoptive and foster care families.
- We have a heart to stop human trafficking.
- We have concentrated work with refugees and our church partnerships in Uganda and Israel.
- We also provide care for the homeless in our city and lend help to the local schools working with literacy programs for the underserved communities in our city.

For purposes of Cornerstone Boulder’s faith, doctrine, practice and policy, our Church Council is the interpretive authority on the Bible’s meaning and application in our faith community.
