Amy Helling grew up outside of Chicago and made her way to Colorado in 2003 when she went to the University of Colorado and earned a degree in Philosophy. Cornerstone was her landing place in college and quickly became like a second family away from home. She got married in 2005 to Michael Helling and joined the Cornerstone staff team in 2008 to work alongside Gabe Kinzley as Associate Student Pastor. Her fun-loving spirit, heart for those who struggle, and humble guidance gave her a great connection to both teens and parents alike.
After nine years of youth work Amy transitioned into a new role at Cornerstone and currently serves as Pastor of Justice and Mercy, a segment that works with the underprivileged and under-reached locally and globally through various initiatives and networks. In 2012 Amy and her husband became foster parents in Boulder County and now have three adopted children ages 17 (Tyler), 12 (Kori), and 11 (Kennedy).
Amy serves on the Board of Attention Homes, the homeless and runaway youth shelter in town, and feels it's her mission to ensure that every teen and young adult has the resources and relationships they need to be successful.
When not at work you can find Amy on the ski slopes and hiking trails of Breckenridge, hanging out with her kids, or organizing something.
