Passover Seder

Seder – a Jewish ritual service and ceremonial dinner for Passover. The word Seder means “Order”

The Passover Seder was celebrated by Jesus and His disciples on the night that He was betrayed and is commonly called the Last Supper in Christian traditions. Passover is a wonderful time for us to remember God’s deliverance of the Israelites from Egypt, Jesus’ sacrifice for us, and how His salvation continues in our lives today.

For the first time since 2019 we are hosting a large Passover Seder at Cornerstone! The evening consists of worship, a full meal and Seder program and will last 2.5-3 hours.

Cost: $42 for adults/ $25 for kids 10 and under
*includes full catered meal, drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic options), dessert, and all elements needed for the Seder

*Please note that dinner is part of the Seder and will not be served until 7:40PM.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1) Is this suitable for young children?
While this event is open to all ages, this is a longer evening with a formal sit down program; no childcare is provided.

2) Are there gluten free food options? Yes.

3) Is this an interactive event? Yes and No. At each table there are some elements of interaction with table members such as the lighting the candles, finding and hiding the afikoman, passing the seder plate and a few readings. The majority of scripture and Seder readings will be done by our Pastoral team from the stage.

4) Do I need to be Jewish to participate? No. Our Seder will be facilitated by two of our Jewish members, but all participants are welcome regardless of religious affiliation.

5) Is there a dress code or suggested attire? No. While the Seder is a very structured evening, there is no suggested dress code.
